She’s not coming out.

I saw her get a key, so she has a cabin, too. But she’s staying with him.

Getting closer to see if I can hear anything. Don’t like it out of the trees, though. Full moon. Porch lights beside the cabin doors. Gotta stay in the shadows.

I can hear the kid and the woman now. Yeah, they’re screwing.

But even when I get right next to the wall, they’re pretty quiet. Nobody’s yellin’ Oh, Jesus God! or nothin’. You’d think the kid, at least, would be louder. Given what he’s supposed to be capable of.

My wife used to yell Oh, Jesus God! if you must know. Toward the end, I think that was the only thing she liked about me. It was for damn sure the only thing I liked about her.

It used to wake up our boy. He’d run in bawling that he’d heard a monster. I swear, he knew he was cockblocking me.

I can slip into the empty unit without them hearing me. Then jimmy the connecting door and come up on them from the bathroom. Slash them both before they know I’m there.

Paralyze ’em in mid-pump. Speaking of cockblocks.

Then I peel them apart, wrap the kid in a blanket like a sausage, and haul ass. Leave the woman drooling.

Moving around to the door to 306 now.
